My story
About me
Guillaume's Background
My name is Guillaume Buffone, and I am an amateur photographer based in Paris, France. I love to do street, travel, event, and macro photography as my hobbies.
In 2008, I left France for what I thought would be one year in China to study the Chinese language. I stayed there for almost 11 years in big cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Hong Kong.
Furthermore, I had the chance to travel to many countries, especially in the Asia Pacific region (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Korea). By the end of 2018, I decided it was time to return to France to be closer to my family and study again.
His Photographic Path
Like most people, I started photography with my phone to capture my daily life and discover new places while living in Asia. At the End of 2016, I bought myself a camera during my first trip to Tokyo, Japan. This is where my love for photography started.
Back in Paris, I decided to take some lessons at Nikon School to learn all the basics of photography. I wanted to improve my skills and better understand my camera’s capabilities. My teacher Vincent Lambert opened my eyes on all the possibilities that photography can offer. His mentoring helped me a lot.
Regarding my photographic style, I’m still discovering it. I love to go out for a walk with my camera and do street photography, go to a concert/event, or shoot during my holiday trips.
Recently, I found myself interested in portrait photography and wish to learn more about it by shooting my family and friends. I will take some lessons to understand lighting techniques.
I hope my pictures may increase your interest in this beautiful art! And hopefully, my tips will help you take better photos.
Let’s get in touch.
